Purposes
To give visible expression to the unity of all Christian believers and congregations, of whatever tradition and denomination, who confess that Jesus Christ is the Saviour and Lord according to the Scriptures.
To provide a focus for co-operation in fellowship, study, worship, service, and witness activities in the Capital area.
To give leadership to Christian co-operation in endeavours that do not require independent denominational, regional or congregational action.
To serve as liaison between the Christian community and such local organizations as may request such a relationship.
To act as a channel for locally relevant Christian concerns arising from the Christian community and its provincial, national, and international bodies.
To assume responsibilities arising from the geographic proximity of the Capital Area churches to the federal government.
To provide a channel of communication and liaison in interfaith matters with other religious bodies in the Capital area.
